The Winter Session, 2007 of Parliament (12th Session of Fourteenth Lok Sabha and the 212th Session of the Rajya Sabha) is scheduled to commence on Thursday, the 15th of November, 2007 and subject to exigencies of Government Business, the Session will conclude on Friday, the 7th of December, 2007.  The Session will provide a total of 17 sittings spread over a period of 23 days. 

 

2.         The Session will mainly be devoted to essential Government legislative and other business, including financial business relating to Supplementary Demands for Grants for the year 2007-08 in respect of Railway and General Budgets.

 

3.                   To finalise the Government Business for Winter Session, 2007 of Parliament, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs took a meeting with Secretaries/Senior Officers of various Ministries/Departments on 13.11.2007.  The following 36 items   were identified for the Winter Session, 2007:-
